Some of the advantages of having a virtual team would be that persons from different countries, cities or states can participate of the same meeting, no need to travel and work can take place at any time of the day. Some of the disadvantages of the same might be trying to find a time that is convenient for everyone, team members might feel isolated, etc. (Sandra Pollero)
one advantage of virtual team is that the meeting does not take place anywhere but on a point of time, allowing everybody to assist to the meeting without any king of issue. Personaly i dont see any disadvantage of virtual team. (martinez)
virtual teams are very important when it comes to saving time and travel expenses.it can provide us access to experts all over the world. at the same time it could be a bit of a challenge because it can lack physical interaction with other people that use body language as a better form to communicate.
Advantages are everyone logs on and gets things cranked out and accomplished at the time people can discuss questions and problems that they are having and things seem to get done faster and it would cut down on company trip expenses. Disadvantages are not beingable to travel and see work with the person in person. I would want the personal contact and I love to travel.
Virtual Teams might get a bit complicated when trying to organize a specific time and date that falls in place with everyone's schedule. However, one can argue that this also holds true in face -to- face meetings as well.
If an important meeting requires you to log on and access it virtually, you will do it, even if its 5 am in china!

I suppose if you don't have internet access, then it wouldn't work and might hold as a disadvantage; However, i doubt you'd be in that position.

Well the diadvantage to virtual teams is that some of the personal touch is lost and time zones if they team members are too far away in time zones they are restricted to certain time when all the team members are up and awake wich can be a very small window either eairly morning or very late at night. a virtual team is a great idea to me . the advantages about havein one is that you can get work down quick and do well because you can group together some of the best people for the job. another advantage it that you dont have to waste gas to see you team you can meet over the internet. sounds good it does have disadvatages like not seeing or understanding who you are working with and it some points it could be hard to get in connect with all your memebers of your virtual team if something goes wrong,because they maynot be by there computer
